On May 31, the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA)  is having a conference. Above is their announcement. Below is some background information on some of their speakers. We begin with national president Naeem Baig, who is quoted in the below Frontpage Magazine article as claiming that ICNA has no foreign connections.

He left out the Muslim Brotherhood and Jamaat e Islami.

I heard Baig speak at a sharia propaganda event at Loyola Marymount University  in April 2012.

Suhail Webb is the head imam at the Boston Islamic Society Cultural Center of Boston (Roxbury), which has ties to numerous radicals like Yusuf al Qaradawi and imprisoned terrorists Tarek Mehanna and Abdurrahman Alamoudi.  Its sister mosque in Cambridge was the one attended by the Tsarnaev brothers. According to the below link in Wikipedia, he also appeared at a fundraiser for cop killer H. Rap Brown two days before 9-11 along with Anwar Awlaki on 9-9-01. I assume that would have been the one held at UC Irvine.

Yvonne Ridley is the charming ex-journalist from the UK who was captured by the Taliban trying to sneak into Afghanistan to cover the US-led attack after 9-11. Her experience was so inspiring, she converted to Islam and is today a noted London rabblerouser and activist against Israel. She has also in recent years worked as a correspondent and commentator for Press,TV which is the Iranian regime's English-language press organ. She has also spoken at UC Irvine on behalf of the Muslim Student Union.

Here is what Discover the Networks has to say about Zahid Bukhari:

"On May 4, 2005, Bukhari testified before a Joint Hearing of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations and the House International Relations Subcommittee on International Terrorism and Nonproliferation. His testimony included the following statements: “I would like to take strong exception with the premise that the Muslim community charitable donations have any connection with terrorist groups. American Muslim charities have performed commendable services … To the dismay of the Muslim community, several Muslim charities have been shut down by the government after 9/11. Several million dollars of their assets and bank accounts have also been frozen. … The whole episode has a very negative impact on the Muslim community. There is a general sense of fear and intimidation in the community.”

The Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas in 2007 proved that that statement was incorrect.

Adam Deen from the UK gave this speech below at a debate in front of the  Oxford Union in which he maintained that Islam is a peaceful religion. This is about 9 minutes long, but well worth a listen. He basically makes the case that all those violent incidents we have heard about are a result of Islam fighting for justice.

Abdullah al Andalusi has also appeared on Press TV numerous times. I came across this piece by a British writer after listening to a talk by Andalusi in the UK in 2012. He is listed in the announcement as being from Portugal, but his appearances are mostly in the UK.

In addition, here is another event in Birmingham, England just this month that Andalusi was involved in involving Syria. One of his co-speakers is from Hizb-ut-Tahrir, an organization that openly calls for an Islamic takeover of the world under sharia law.

"Why are people traveling to Syria being targeted by UK and other Western government authorities?"

(Because they are dangerous terrorist threats. All the Western governments are concerned about those who return from Syria to their countries.)

At least they are not bringing in Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali to speak like they did in Yorba Linda a couple of years ago.

Stay tuned.
