Minneapolis Explosion-Connecting the Dots

Tip of the hat to Gates of Vienna and Henrietta

As previously reported, on New Years Day an explosion rocked an apartment over a grocery and next door to Dar al Hijraj Mosque in a predominantly Somali neighborhood of Minneapolis. Ever since there has been a controversy over the cause, which a fire department official rushed to blame on a natural gas leak, which is disputed.

Gates of Vienna has been following the story closely. A contributor to GoV, identified as Henrietta did some very detailed checking and came up with some very interesting connections that show at least indirect connections to two Somali women indicted in 2008 for providing material  support to the Somali terror group Al Shabaab. Read the below report carefully. It is very interesting.

This is all the result of a hare-brained scheme by our State Department and other government agencies to bring in some 80,000 Somali "refugees" in the 1990s. A large number of them were settled in Minneapolis. Today, Minneapolis has a section of town called "Little Mogadishu", where youth gangs roam and people are recruited to go back to Somalia and join the terror group Al Shabaab. Possibly a couple of these men took part in the attack last year on a shopping mall in Nairobi.

Hopefully, the FBI and Minneapolis are connecting the dots. I assume this whole mess is under active investigation.

Good work, Henrietta.
