Whatever Happened to the Jews of Iraq? Article in Orange County Register

Rory Cohen is a writer for the Orange County Register. She is the also descendant of Iraqi Jews who were driven out of that country (as well as other Arab lands) after the creation of the state of Israel. In today's Orange County Register she has a timely piece on that Jewish community.

The story of Jews driven out of Arab lands in those years is one forgotten and ignored by the world community. There were some 600-700,000 of them in all. They were refugees who found their way to other countries, principally Israel and started  new and productive lives. Unfortunately, the UN, the EU and the current US administration seems to have forgotten about them just as they are ignoring the current plight of Christians in Muslim lands; just as they ignore the plight of the Baha'i in Iran.
