Who Are the Jihadists?

George Miller (D-CA), one of the longer serving liberal dinosaurs in Congress, today referred to Republicans as "jihadists" over their efforts to defeat Obamacare.

This seems to be becoming a pattern for the Democrats in their rhetoric-to refer to Republicans as "jihadists". On the bright side, it is refreshing that some Democrats have awakened to the meaning of the word-even if they mis-apply it.

Or is it that those fighting against Obamacare are simply struggling to become better Republicans?

  1. Wow, Democrats are calling Republicans Jihadists. Maybe the Jihadist word will get back into the FBI training manuals, as the word Jihadist was removed by the Obama administration. It also may mean that the FBI will not miss the Jihadists residing in the U.S. who are bombers like the Bothers who bombed Boston.

  2. Kinda reminds me of Republicans comparing Obamacare to Nazism. Maybe we can all ease up on the ridiculous exaggerations.

  3. Its a cheap analogy, but there is the commonality of being willing to commit an entire society to social suicide because "we didn't get our way."

Kinda reminds me of the kid saying "I'm going to hold my breath until I turn blue," except its the whole nation's airways they are trying to hold.

Then the cowards start making a steadily lengthening list of everything The People are complaining about being shut down, promising, we'll fund this... and this... and this... and pretty soon, the whole government will be funded again.

  4. It's crazy that the side who absolutely refuses to negotiate anything bclaims that the side who has offered many compromises inflexible and willing to destroy the country.

The president was elected primarily to run the country,, not to preserve ObamaCare. He has forgotten what his priorities are. But what can you expect from an incompetent amateur?

  5. Miggie, your words are even more rabid than usual today -- or should I say crazy?

Compromise? What compromise have the Republicans offered? That they will fund the U.S. government if they get their way? Is funding the government something Democrats want and Republicans really would rather not do at all? In that case, it might be a compromise. This is like threatening to blow up a bomb, taking the bomber and everyone else to kingdom come, and then asking "Why won't you compromise with me so we can all live?"

The President was elected to execute the law. The Affordable Care Act is the law. Attempts have been made to repeal it, but have failed. Now, the minority that wanted to repeal it is throwing a temper tantrum to get their way. If you want to repeal a law, you get a bill passed by both houses of congress and signed by the president.

Voters were offered a president who would have signed such legislation, and candidates for the senate who would have passed it. These candidates were rejected.

But what can you expect from a bunch of juveniles who have suffered from a wounded sense of entitlement ever since Bill Clinton was elected president, only twelve years into their Thousand Year Reich?
