Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) is hardly one of the brightest bulbs in Congress, which she proves practically every time she opens her mouth. Yet, incredibly, she is rumored to be President Obama's pick to replace Janet Napolitano at Homeland Security.
On second thought, I guess it's not that incredible. She would fit perfectly into Napolitano's shoes, in my humble view.
Now comes Ms Lee with a strange comment on the role of martial law in solving the budget impasse.
And this woman might be the next head of Homeland Security?
"Ah wunnerful, ah wunnerful, ah"
You know, Hitler had his own idea of how to get around that pesky Reichstag soon after he became chancellor.
It was called the Enabling Act. Ms Jackson ought to research it.
On second thought, I don't want to give her any ideas.
