That's what Marilyn Tavenner, director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services told Congress today in essense.

Translation of all that? They have the numbers, but they won't release then till mid-November. Can't even tell Congress. It's a secret.
Could that be because they are waiting to get more numbers of people enrolled that will hopefully outnumber those losing their health care coverage?
Transparency? The most transparent administration in history?
There is one good thing about the transparency of Obamacare and that is it will be a boon to at least one industry. That industry is the hackers, identity thieves, and rip off artists.
ReplyDeleteThey have already set up look alike phishing sites where you can sign right up by just giving them your personal information again. One site doesn't even bother with that and asks that you transmit a $100 fee to them.
Sorry, this must sound racist.... to criticize this tiny little flaw in the Obamacare website.
Funny how modern technology is. The Government cannot tell how many have signed up and the Book of the Month club can tell you that immediately.
ReplyDeleteWell, you must admit Gary, the most transparent administration in history is a rather low bar. Thomas Jefferson kept a few secrets too. It like the Democrats boasting that they have a 50% greater popularity rating than Republicans in congress... that would be 15 percent approval, vs. 10 percent. Come to think of it, there hasn't been any real transparency in government since Lenin published all the secret treaties with the Allied Powers near the end of WW I. And then he started keeping his own secrets.
