"The future must not belong to those who mock the Prophet Obama"

"Historic American retreat"
It has gotten so bad that even Bashar Assad is daring President Obama to attack him. The guy that did that to George W Bush wound up dangling at the end of a rope. With Obama, it is different. First, he spends a couple of years proclaiming that Assad's time is short, and he must resign. This after Assad's forces were mowing down peaceful protesters in the streets. Now, with 100,000 dead and the only opposition fighting him consisting of Al Qaeda related groups, Obama wants to strike Syria. Problem is nobody except the French are willing to join him.
So now all the tough talk has degenerated into talking points that there will be no boots on the ground, it will only last days if not hours, and we are not trying to take Assad out himself. Syria: Fortify your aspirin factories!
The world is laughing at us, and who can blame them? Sadly, this alone may push Obama into taking some action-any action- to avoid losing face. He has talked himself into a corner with his tough talk of red lines and game changers. He was ready to strike last week until he learned that not even the Brits will go along with his ill-advised ideas. This is what happens when you put a community organizer into the White House.

ReplyDeleteGive it up Gary. You want to send the troops in to take out Assad or don't you? Don't call the president a coward for not doing what you insist he shouldn't do.
