  1. Rumor has it these two guys studied English at UCI Extension before moving to Boston. Doesn't that make you some kind of accomplice or co-conspirator?

  2. Anonymous,

If they had been at UCI Ext, I would know. What is the source of your rumor?

  3. I work in the UCI law school and we hear things. Next year we'll be introducing classes on Sharia law, as we train young lawyers to serve Americans who will gradually have to align their own traditional legal system with that of Islam. We are excited about these social changes.

  4. Sounds good to me. Murder is murder, whatever the motive. The key thing is that the two students had been in direct contact with the suspect, knowing he was a suspect, and acted on his direction to removed what they found in his room.

Until I got to that, I had some sympathy with their lawyers' argument that a lesser charge like lying to investigators was more appropriate. But if the facts are, as stated, they saw their friend's face as a likely suspect in a recently perpetrated mass murder, got in touch with him by cell phone, and acted on a text from the perp to remove evidence from his room... yup, that pretty well substantiates the charges.

  5. Anonymous,

Well, I would be excited too. I hope you will keep me posted. If you really are in the UCI law school, I am sure you know how to contact me on campus. I am only a five minute walk away. But then again, you sound like you are in favor of this idea.

  6. I think these two should first serve the 20 years and then get deported. These two "students" protected two Muslims that had such hatred against the country that took them in that they bombed, maimed, and killed innocent people!

The U.S. didn't ask any of them to come here... they asked us to allow them to come here! That is how they repay the kindness. I guess that is Sharia law too. They all follow that sense of morality.

I hope they also take with them your Anonymous law student who wants to align our legal system with Sharia law. We were doing just fine without the amputations and beheading penalties and the other cruel and ridiculous laws Sharia has about societal behavior.

If Anonymous doesn't like our legal system, why not go to one of your fabulous Muslim countries and practice your Sharia law there?

It is a disgrace as to how badly our immigration system and our university system works that they allow in people like you.

You'd be happier and we'd certainly be happier without you.

  7. Miggie,

Me strongly suspects, anonymous is pulling our chain-just like the rumor that these two were at UCI. Of course with Chemerinsky running things
    there, who knows?

  8. Yeah, I think Anonymous is indulging a sardonic parody at your expense. We know you deserve it when you take him seriously.

  9. Gary,
Anonymous Muslims are not known for their sense of humor. I think that is what he said he already believes.

  10. If they're anonymous, how would you know what "their" sense of humor is? How could they be "known" for much of anything except the bare words they post? How do you know that Anonymous is Muslim? You and Gary suspect Christians, atheists and Ba'hai's of plotting to introduce classes on Sharia law.
