This YouTube video clip hearkens back a few years ago to the glorious days of the strife in Gaza. In this news report in Swedish (with English sub-titles ) a Swedish TV 4 News correspondent describes his travails crossing back into Israel from Gaza as he quotes the accounts of his Palestinian friends of all the horrific atrocities being carried out by Israeli forces against Palestinian civilians (which in his own words, "one cannot but have confidence in").
And this guy wonders why Israel doesn't want him in their country? This is typical of Swedish news coverage of Israel to this day and explains why there is much public hostility towards Jews in Sweden.
Is the Swedish reporter lying about Israeli brutality? I think not.
ReplyDeleteScandinavian reporters for years have been the most liberal observers of the Middle East.
To be this critical makes me think the Israelis are going too far.
Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteListen to his words again (or read the sub-titles)he is relying on the accounts of palestinians which he accepts at face value. he presents no corroboration, no photos no video, just what Palestinians told him, which he says one must have confidence in. It is exactly what the palestinians successfully did, feed horror stories to a willing media.
This is not an isolated case. The Swedish press is completely anti-Israel and has been for years. Sweden, with the possible exception of Norway, is the most anti-Israel country in Europe.
