Obama Sending US Troops to Egypt and Jordan

Just when you though President Obama's Middle East policy couldn't get any worse, we learn that he is sending forces to Egypt and increasing troop levels already in Jordan from about 250 to a thousand or so.

"Ah wunnerful a-wunnerful ah"

Of course, we know how much the presence of American troops will be appreciated, don't we?

Remember the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia?

How about all hose green-on-blue shootings in Afghanistan, where we have Afghan soldiers turning their weapons on American and other Allied troops?

How about the gratitude shown Americans in Libya?

Iraq?

Even if we go in as protectors, liberators, or whatever you want to call it, we will be regarded as Infidel forces occupying Muslim land. Sure we will have allies and civilians who support us, but the opposition will always be there. We have seen how that opposition plays out. Why do we keep making the same mistake?

Obama cannot be that blind. It is as if he is doing all this by a clear design.

  1. Of all our adventures overseas, this one has all the potential of escalating out of control. There is no defined objective or end game. There are powerful adversaries with greater stakes already in position there. We don't know who our Syrian allies are because our amateur president did not find out or cultivate them two years ago. Getting into the conflict lacks public support from the outset.

It was an intelligence failure that is unforgivable. He just watched, not knowing what to do, as everything spun out of control. We have no plan. We are arming our known enemies who eventually turn them against us or our allies.
What will he tell the relatives of the dead and wounded what their sacrifice was for?

When John Kennedy faced down the Russians over Cuba we at least knew we had a leader with some defined goal. Even though Korea was a foreign place to us, we followed the strong leadership of Truman who had resolve. In a word, leadership... it counts for a lot.

Now we have a vacation first minded president who is putting our hand into the wood chopper without realizing that the mechanism pulls in your whole arm.

Well, at least the liberals got the first black man elected twice, no matter what happens to the country. What absolute stupidity! They have reversed the definition of Racism, in that the color of your skin alone makes you good.
