LA Bus Crash: Another Question of Motive
There was a terrible accident in downtown Los Angeles Wednesday. A tow truck driver named Yousef Adhami was driving 60 mph in a 30 mph zone ran a red light and crashed head on into a city bus killing the driver, Olivia Gamboa 47. The bus was otherwise empty. Adhami is hospitalized in critical condition. Police are treating this as a homicide. It may be more.

Adhami, as it turns out, is a former resident of Youngstown, Ohio and was previously arrested in Pennsylvania in 2008 after leading polic3e on a high speed chase in which he claimed to have a bomb strapped to his body (which he did not).

The Daily Breeze has additional details regarding Adhami.

So once again, just as in Orange County in January (Syed Ali), Santa Monica last week (John Zawahri), we must ask the obvious question: Was this incident yesterday an act of jihad? If not, let's clear it up for the sake of all. If it is, the public should be made aware. If the above three incidents were motivated by jihad, combined with Boston, then we would have a trend on our hands.
Don't dismiss jihad in this. In Israel for a while using heavy equipment to cause damage and death was Standard Operating Proceedure for jihadis.
ReplyDeleteJerusalem Bulldozer Attack
4 dead, 30+ injured.
If you want to cause a lot of injuries and death instead of making bombs, you can use heavy machinery instead.
It contains the same unmistakable thread that was documented in the "Rape in the UK" story above. It is not that you are picking and choosing members of the Religion of Peace committing crimes. In fact you leave out many, including the death of 5 teenagers in a single car high speed accident by another of the Believers in Newport Beach recently. I'm not saying that people of other religions don't commit crimes. They do. However, in most of these type crimes (Boston Bombers, Ft. Hood massacre, rape gangs, beheadings, etc.) there is an unmistakable element which makes the perp type very predictable.
ReplyDeleteOut of curiosity, occasionally you get anonymous comments minimizing or excusing ROP episodes. You never get them on stories like the one on the Muslim gang rapes. I suppose they really deny the connection or feel that somehow, some way, the murderers were "oppressed."
.
How many German Americans were perpetrators in fatal car accidents last year?
ReplyDeleteIs this evidence that the Bund is resurgent?
Siarlys,
ReplyDeleteLet's see; I recall a guy in Ohio by the same name as me being killed in an accident a few years back. I don't recall if the news accounts mentioned that he was yelling, "Heil Hitler" at the moment of crash.
The point I am making is that this appears to be a deliberate act. It is being treated as a homicide by the cops. Given his name and previous history, I am merely asking a question. Just this year, we have had three murders in SoCal, which may-may-have been acts of jihad. Why won't they tell us? I have not said it as fact. Can't we even ask?
Let's see: The video was able to ascertain that the light was red for 10 seconds before Adhami (Amish?) ran directly into the bus at at least 50 MPH. He did not slow down or try to avoid the bus.
ReplyDeleteAccording to one of the articles: "Records show Adhami, a resident of Youngstown, Ohio, was convicted June 3, 2008, of making terrorist threats, fleeing or attempting to elude officers, recklessly endangering another person and making a bomb threat.
Department of Motor Vehicle records showed Adhami carried a class-C noncommercial license to drive, but he did not hold a required tow-truck certificate, DMV spokesman Artemio Armenta said.
His company, Hermosa Beach Towing, had an expired motor carrier permit needed to transport property in a motor vehicle, Armenta said.
Adhami's record showed he has had four driver's license suspensions since 2005, when he lived in Ohio. He lost his license from Dec. 4, 2005 to May 15, 2008, for speeding and failing to show financial responsibility.
In California, his license was suspended on Sept. 15, 2010, for 15 days for failing to appear in court. His license was suspended Oct. 19, 2011, for failing to appear in court, but reinstated March 29, 2012. His license again was suspended on Feb. 21, 2013, for failing to appear in court. It was reinstated April 26, 2013."
Nothing to see here, folks, move along.
Miggie,
ReplyDeleteJust another tree blocking Siarlys' view of the forest.
You haven't claimed that the tow truck driver was yelling "allah u akbar" at the time of his crash either. So why are you changing the structure of the story line? You don't bolster your credibility by resorting to this sort of sophistry.
ReplyDeleteWas it a suicide attempt, maybe….but I don’t think he wanted to kill someone in the name of “a religion”, he could have waited an hour or later and the corner would have been filled with people, the bus would have been filled with people and the 7-11 would have been filled with customers. Thank God the accident occurred at the time it did, there would have been lots of injuries/deaths. I pray for the bus driver’s family, she seemed to be a beautiful woman inside and out.
