No. It seems that when one of the runners crossed the finish line first, he raised his finger to the sky in thanking God.
Team disqualified.

Just out of curiosity, do you think this action would have been taken had the runner shouted, "Allahu Akbar" as he pointed to the sky?
Unfair advantage Gary. After all G-d didn't favor the other runners.
ReplyDeleteIf there is a standard viewpoint-neutral rule against any contestant engaging in exuberant displays, the fact that this individual was motivated by a desire to thank God does not exempt him from the rule. Does he lack faith that God knows what is in his heart?
