In other UCI news, it seems the faculty-or at least some of them- are zotting over the selection of some guy named Howard Gillman out of USC to be the new provost at UCI-whatever that is. Maybe he will oversee SOAR. Personally, I don't know anything about the guy, nor do I care, but it looks like the usual activist profs are jumping on this bandwagon-or off as the case may be.

There was also an article about it in the Orange County Register last week by reporter Scott Martindale. I remember it because it didn't have a concluding paragraph. Speaking of Scott Martindale, he was supposed to be covering the MSU "spectacular" week before last at UCI. Whatever happened to that? No conclusion there either. Well, I only get the Register 4 days a week, so I may have missed it. After all, I don't eat that much fish.
