What Will Happen To Syria's Christians?

Hat tip Assyrian International News Agency

That is a question that our current administration and Secretary of State John Kerry have not given much thought to as they continue to pour money into suspicious factions who are fighting the murderous regime of Bashar Assad.

Make no mistake: the Syrian government under Assad is evil, and his removal would be a victory of sorts when it comes to Iran and Hezbollah, both of whom support the current government.

Yet, it seems we are heading down the same road as we did in Iran, in Egypt, and in Libya, replacing a bad government with another bad government that is Islamist in nature, anti-American, anti-West, and determined to eliminate non-Muslim minorities.

We thought that backing the revolution in Egypt would gain us good will there. We were wrong. We thought that backing the revolution in Libya would bring us good will there. We were wrong.

And we will be wrong in Syria.

  1. We got a lot of good will in Libya, e.g., the substantial crowds who marched on the Al Ansar hideouts declaring "the American ambassador was our friend," forcing them at least temporarily to vacate.

Why are you concerned with Syrian Christians, many of whom are as anti-Semitic as the Assad regime, while ignoring the Libyans who are our friends?
