Twelve bells and all is well."
Janet Napolitano continues to insist that the border is more secure than ever. Yet, arrests are climbing and those being apprehended are telling the agents they are coming because they know the border forces are being reduced and they want to get in on the amnesty.

Blame that on Boehner. You get what you pay for. Republicans have been telling us for decades we can have something for nothing. What was that about makers and takers?
ReplyDeleteYou got it backwards. Now we pay and get nothing. Those who don't pay get it all.
ReplyDeleteJanet is loony. She just told the Border Patrol that DHS does not have enough ammunition for them. We know that she purchased 1.6 BILLION bullets, which has driven up the cost of ammunition in the U.S. by 100%.

You've got it sideways Gary... those reductions in force at the border that eager migrants in Mexico have heard about are the direct result of cutting funding.
ReplyDeleteSiarlys,
ReplyDeleteYou've got it katty-Korner. First of all, securing the border, the country and protecting our citizens are primary responsibilities of government. Secondly, the cuts have not yet occurred though Napolitano has talked about 5,000 fewer agents.
Finally, repeat after me: The US government is spending more $$ this fiscal year than last. The cuts are reductions in the increase. Given that, how can you maintain that we need to raise taxes even more to maintain border security-which hardly exists in the first place?
