Handsome Henry Waxman Celebrates Iranian New Year

"Tax me, Henry. Tax me."

Representative Handsome Henry Waxman (D-CA) continued to play the role of international statesman last month when he wished the people of Iran a happy new year-or something like that.

“I wish the Iranian-American community and the people of Iran a joyous and peaceful Nowruz,” said Representative Waxman.  “I hope that this resolution sends a message of respect to the Iranian people and all who are celebrating the Persian New Year.  I stand with the people of Iran as they aspire to a world of human rights and tolerance, embodied by the Cyrus Cylinder.  NowruzPirooz!”



Maybe Handsome Henry will be our next secretary of state when John Heinz Kerry decides to sail off
into the sunset.
