After a prolonged and torturous journey, the Orient Express finally arrives in Paris. It is time for the passengers to disembark and go their separate ways. For US Department of Justice investigator Dick Holder, there is only one unfinished piece of business to conduct in his investigation of the murder of passenger Susan Rice, found dead with a knife in the back in the compartment she shared with Harriet Clanton. That is to interview Clanton on what she knew and when she knew it.

Holder knocks on the door of the compartment of Agent McLain of the State Department Accountability Review Board (ARB).

After a long pause, the door is opened by McClain, his suitcase packed behind him.

"Ready to get off and head for the hotel?" asks McClain.

"Aren't we going to interview Clanton? This is our last chance," responds Dick Holder.

"McClain laughs. "No, I figure what difference does it make? She is irrelevant to our investigation."

Holder thinks for a moment then answers, "Yeah. I guess you're right. What the F*** difference does it make?"

"Grab your suitcase and let's head for the hotel. After we check in, we can go out for dinner and head to Pigalle."

As they enter into a taxi and proceed to their hotel, Dick Holder asks McClain; "Who do you think killed Susan Rice?"

McClain looks out the window of the taxi then turns to Dick Holder.

"What the f*** difference does it make?"

Meanwhile, Harriet Clanton, clad in a new green pants suit, with her retinue carrying her suitcases behind her, disembarks and heads off into the sunset, confident of her future.
