Nonie Darwish Comment on the Connecticut Tragedy

Nonie Darwish of Former Muslims United has written an interesting article for the Gatestone Institute in response to the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut.

If you are concerned that our children here in America are growing up in a culture of guns and violence,  think what it is like in places in the Middle East, where Palestinian parents are raising their children to be suicide bombers in order to kill the Jews. I doubt that Adam Lanza had any ideas that he was going to Heaven as he carried out his evil deed, but these kids in the Middle East have visions of Paradise and comely virgins awaiting them as their reward for killing Jews and other infidels. In addition, consider the man who is arguably the "most respected Islamic scholar in the world", Yusuf al Qaradawy, the spiritual mentor of the Muslim Brotherhood, openly proclaiming his wish to die in battle against "the Infidel", whoever that is in his twisted mind.

We may decide after this latest tragedy that some form of gun control legislation is appropriate. However, before we start talking about confiscating the tens of million of guns out there (an impossibility), we might consider the guns that are pointed at us from outside the US.
