El Cajon: The "Hate Crime" That Wasn't

Hat tip Answering Muslims

As we suspected all along, Shaima Alawadi of El Cajon, California, was not the victim of a hate crime when she was found murdered in her home back in March. Now her husband has been arrested and charged with her murder.

I may be wrong here, but if I am not mistaken, Alawadi would have represented the first case of a Muslim being murdered in the US in a true hate crime since 9-11. (I am aware that a Sikh was killed in the days after 9-11 by someone who assumed he was a Muslim, and there was the recent attack on a Sikh temple in Wisconsin, which some are blaming on a false assumption that Sikhs are Muslims.)

After the press made such a big deal out of the "hate crime" aspect of this case, will they now give equal attention to the "honor killing" aspect? Here is ABC's report.

Not much there. How about the feminists? It is time for them to speak out and defend their Muslim sisters in America.

Right?

Update: the Jihadist apologists at  Loon Watch have reported on this with their own spin. I am currently in a good back and forth with them in the comment thread.

  1. That one always sounded like a hastily and clumsily faked crime scene. No surprise here. She's not the only woman in America to be killed by her husband, ex-husband, or boyfriend. He should be treated just like all the rest. His motive, like all the other motives, is not an extenuating circumstance.
