More E-Mails Show We Knew it Was a Terror Attack in Real Time

-Fox News

"The emails obtained by Fox News were sent by the State Department to a variety of national security platforms, whose addresses have been redacted, including the White House Situation Room, the Pentagon, the FBI and the Director of National Intelligence.

Fox News was told that an estimated 300 to 400 national security figures received these emails in real time almost as the raid was playing out and concluding. People who received these emails work directly under the nation’s top national security, military and diplomatic officials, Fox News was told."

More State Department e-mails have been revealed which show that everyone in our government knew our consulate in Benghazi was under attack by terrorists as it was unfolding or at least in the immediate aftermath.

So what are we to make of these claims up to two weeks after the attack that it was a protest gone out of control? What are we to make of Susan Rice's repeated comments on all the news shows 5 days later that it was a protest over a video?

We already knew that State Department officials were watching the attack in real time. People have been asking if and when they passed on the news to the White House. Apparently, they passed it on.

In last night's debate, the first question from Bob Schieffer asked whether the attack in Libya was terrorist, a protest, or what. Romney led off and passed right over it, apparently preferring not to attack the President. Obama did not answer the question-which he, specifically, should have. Schieffer, of course, chose not to press Obama on the question, which he should have.

The more that comes out, the worse it looks.

Because the Administration, DoD, State Department and others in high places chose to do nothing about the event as it was happening, they should all resign. The U.S. Congress should hammer everyone who received the emails and ask why was nothing done to intervene in the attack. They should also ask who came up with the lame story that it was a stupid video that caused the attack, even though they knew that this was Al Qaeda from the beginning. Last, someone needs to go to jail for hiding the facts surrounding the murders of four Americans on American soil (the embassy).
