More Franconian Beerfests in September

Courtesy of Erlanger Nachricten

From the Erlanger Nachrichten, here is a schedule of local Franconian beerfests in September if you happen to be in Germany. The granddaddy of Franconian beerfests is Erlangen's Bergkirchweih, which runs 12 days during the Whitsuntide season (May-June). It's Germany's oldest, and if the Oktoberfest in Munich is too big and wild for your tastes, Erlangen's is the best alternative. The Franconian area (of Northern Bavaria) is famous for beer and wine.
