Bounty on Head of Film Maker Over Movie He Didn't Make

Hat tip Frontpage Magazine

The insanity continues around the world over that dopey video. Documentary film maker Eric Allen Bell has a bounty on his head of 10 million rupees (95 R=$1.00- whatever that will buy) because the rioting loons have falsely connected him to the video. (He had nothing to do with it.) Daniel Greenfield of Frontpage Magazine has an update.

Of course, our own administration is repeating every day that the video has nothing to do with our country or our government policy, but who listens when you are too busy rioting?

Bell made lots of enemies within the Islamic community of Murfreesboro and Nashville Tennessee, when he was making a documentary about the mosque controversy in the former town. Eventually, he went from supporting the mosque to opposing it when he learned that some of the figures behind the mosque had a certain affinity for Hamas. As a result, he became an outspoken opponent of the mosque project. Now that we have this manufactured furor over "The Innocence of Muslims", it has become convenient to lump him in with those filmmakers. Result? Hundreds of death threats and a bounty.

Of course, it would be nice if our president and secretary of State instead of prostrating themselves in front of the Muslim world, would say "Enough is enough" and tell the leaders (and people) of these failed nations that if this continues, we will pull all of our people out-permanently, cut off our foreign aid, and stop issuing visas. The message should be to protect our people, stop the violence and stop issuing fatwas against American citizens in our own country.
