Egyptian Terror Suspect Comes to Washington, Visits White House


This afternnon Wolf Blitzer featured this story on CNN. A delegation of Egyptian lawmakers visiting Washington in conjunction with the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and the State Department includes Hani Nour Eldin,a  member of Gamaa Islamiya-a State Department terrorist-designated group.

In addition, Blitzer reported that Eldin reportedly met  with White House National Security official Denis McDonough and lobbied for the transfer to Egypt of the Blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel Rahman, currently serving life in a US prison for his involvement in  New York terrorist plot, and who just happens to be the spiritual leader of Gamaa Islamiya. (The request was reportedly denied.)

So today, Blitzer asked, "How could this have happened? It was obviously an oversight."
