ICNA and its Fundraising

Hat tip to Investigative Project on Terrorism

Steve Emerson's Investigative Project on Terrorism has posted a report on the troubling ties of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). This is the same organization that held a charity dinner in Yorba Linda in February in which the featured speakers were AmirAbdel Malik Ali and Siraj Wahhaj, both with a long history of troubling statements. As a result of these two speakers, a protest was held outside the event.

I note that the article refers to Zulfiqar Ali Shah. During the recent Sharia workshop at Loyola Marymount University, I had a chance to ask Shah about his involvement with the charity called Kind Hearts that was shut down by the FBI in 2006 for raising funds for Hamas. In his answer, Shah stated, "I condemn Hamas."

And how timely. On May 5, ICNA is hosting another fundraising dinner at the Sheraton Park Hotel in Anaheim.
