I don't often agree with Fox News liberal guy Bob Beckel, but yesterday, he spoke out on a topic that most of the media-by his own admission- ignores. That is the killing of Christians by Muslims. Here is Beckel yesterday on Fox's The Five.

The only point I would nitpick here is that Beckel should have been more careful in commenting about the treatment of innocent American Muslims. I don't think he meant to imply that it would be alright to mistreat anyone here because of what goes on overseas, but it sort of came out that way. The point is that what happens in places like Nigeria does not happen here, nor should it. I think Beckel would have said it better if he had asked why organizations like CAIR, who are always complaining about "Islamophobia" here in the US, are not speaking out against the horrific things that are occurring in Muslim countries. At any rate, I am glad he spoke out on the topic. It needs more attention.
It is a shame that Beckel also didn't acknowledge that the cause is in the Koran itself.
ReplyDeleteKoran (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."
Koran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

I could and can go on, but I think you all get the idea. I wish Bob Beckel would.
