UCI Student Governent Fails to Pass Resolution on Hazem Chehabi
Hazem Chehabi and wife receiving the UCI Medal
For the past several months, I have been posting articles on Hazem Chehabi, who holds two important positions in Orange County. First, Chehabi serves as Syrian Honorary Consul for Orange County. Second, he is the Chair of the UC Irvine Foundation. The UCI Associated Students (student government) attempted to pass a resolution demanding that UCI break its link with Chehabi since he continues to serve as Syria's honorary consul in spite of almost a year of protests.
Here is the result of that attempt.

That's right. Out of 19 votes, 12 voted in favor and none voted against. Seven abstained, and thus, the resolution failed.
Sounds like you're winning Gary. You should be please you are making progress. I think you only keep running that photo because you are taken by the looks of that woman in the red dress on the left.
ReplyDeleteYou mean the one that a UCI Foundation official described at the ceremony as "the most beautiful woman he had ever seen"?
ReplyDeleteNot my type.
No, you prefer buxom German blondes carrying trays of beer, and Israeli Arab lesbians in army uniform, and of course your Mexican wife.
ReplyDeleteSiarlys,
ReplyDeleteYou left out Asians.
That's because I can't read your mind. I only know about the fantasies you have posted in public at this site. Tell us about the Asians...
ReplyDeleteThis made it to NPR.

I saw on Facebook that Mark Levine of UC Irvine agrees with you on this one.
He wrote, "I would urge everyone to join this chorus. it's a disgrace that he's still in this position."
