Hat tip to Friends for Fullerton's Future
"Is Mr. McKinley here yet?"
This is classic. Fullerton, California, a small burg in Orange County, which is reeling from the beating death of Kelly Thomas by 2 cops, is trying to recall three of their useless city councilmembers. One of them, Pat McKinley, is the former police chief and ex-member of the embattled Orange County Human Relations Commission under McKinley's pal and Fullerton native son Rusty (the Empty Suit) Kennedy.
So it seems that McKinley put the strong arm on the local little league to invite him to say a few words at their opening-day ceremony. They didn't want to do it because of all the scandals that McKinley is involved in. So they relented under pressure and guess what. The boob didn't even show up.

Maybe he was accepting one of Kennedy's "Rusty" Awards.
OMG-hahahahha-that is so funny. Love the rusted out trophy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh.
our town, Fullerton, has been subjected to Pat McKinley's self-serving actions for decades. We , the good people of Fullerton, were subjected to Pat McKinley from the 1990's to just last year when he retired as Fullerton's police chief so to enter municipal politics. McKinley brought his LAPD commando philosophy to a mild-mannered suburb and brutalized our community. Fortunately for us, McKinley will probably term out as a Fullerton city council member when he is recalled from this position.
ReplyDeleteI believe McKinley was a no-show not due to his indifference but due to his shame at being called out by the public for his corruption of our police force. and this is what may make his shame poignant to him and the good people of fullerton, while Mckinley corrupted our police force into a gang of thugs that grossly violated our human rights, he served on his colleague's human rights commission, Rusty Kennedy's Orange County Human Rights Commission that functions as a "clearinghouse" and mediator for OC communities' complaints of civil rights abuses committed against them by their respective police departments . The real issue is why rusty's commission never seemed to get complaints about fullerton PD's violation of human rights though legal documents show numerous monetary settlements were paid by the city of fullerton to persons who had been beaten, molested, falsely arrested by Fullerton PD while Pat Mckinley was in charge as Fullerton police chief
Fullerton taxpayer,
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is I'm glad I don't live in Fullerton. I was there last year and thought the downtown was quite attractive. Anyway, good luck. As for the Kelly Thomas issue, being former law enforcement, I have always tended not to rush to judgment on these things, but from what has come out-including from the DA's office in the charges, it looks horrible.
