On February 12, Nonie Darwish, a courageous woman from Egypt who left Islam, was speaking at a pro-Israel event at the University of New Mexico. A group of Occupy Albuquerque, Arabs and Students for Justice in Palestine attempted to disrupt her speech because they didn't think she had a right to get her message across. Fortunately, most of the audience was there in support of Nonie. This is what happened. (Note: Some of these videos are by pro-disrupter websites.)

Here are more videos and the full video of her talk from Israel Matzav.

Whenever you want to ask the question of which side is right, watch who disrupts and tries to silence the speaker. Nonie Darwish has put her life on the line to speak out. I have had the pleasure to meet her, and I greatly respect her courage. These snot-nose kids at UNM have no clue. All they know is that if they don't agree with the speaker-shut her down.
And guess what. University of New Mexico Campus Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to come forward. That's because they weren't there. Where in the Hell were they-writing parking tickets? Don't they know there is a fatwa on Nonie's head? This is just another example of the rot that infests our universities.
The sad thing is the people who started to scream and shout to interupt the lecture probably thought they were supporting democratic principles.
ReplyDeleteThey get lost up in their cause and don't realize they are violating the rights of those who were there to listen to a lecture. Some people there may have not agreed with the speaker's opinions but wanted to hear what she had to say. I know I like to hear opinions from which I disagree.
Notice how they don't have these great slogans to memory. I guess you can only memorize those slogans that actually mean something to you.
