Real Gay Bashing in UK

Instead of harping on people in America who are opposed to gay marriage and accusing them of gay-bashing, I really wish people would direct their outrage to REAL gay-bashing. Much of that is apparently going on in the UK. The Daily Mail has a report on 5 men who are accused of calling for gays to be murdered.

Now, that's gay-bashing.

I myself am opposed to gay marriage, but the world won't end for me if it is legalized. I actually lost one regular reader who concluded that I was a homophobe. Yet, many of the people who cry homophobe here in America turn a blind eye to what is done to gays in places like Iran, where they are hanged. This so-called "homophobe" is outraged by that kind of treatment. I am also outraged by these five mopes calling for gays to be killed. Ironically, in our country, they would probably be protected by the First Amendment unless their words led directly to a violent act.

So to the gay lobby here in America and elsewhere, I say that you need to wake up to this very real threat and stop worrying about who opposes gay marriage and worry about those who would kill gays. You would be surprised how many people are with you.
