DOJ IG Declines to Investigate SEIU and Occupy

Cynthia Schnedar

Whoever asked Justice Department Inspector General Cynthia Schnedar to investigate a threat to shut down Wall Street "to cause a financial crisis" and Eric Holder's "response" must have been  naive. Daily Caller has the story.

Of course, anyone who has followed the ATF/DOJ Fast and Furious scandal knows that IG Schnedar is much too busy covering up Eric Holder and DOJ's role in that scandal to have time for anything else. One should also know that this administration is not going to investigate SEIU for anything.

Of course, protesting Wall Street is hardly a crime. It is protected as part of our First Amendment. Yet, if you have people conspiring to use protest to cause a financial crisis (as alleged), then that could be a horse of a different color and might warrant an investigation.

But, let's just assume that Schnedar and her office can handle only one task at a time. Covering up Fast and Furious clearly takes precedence over SEIU officials trying to "cause a financial crisis".

Schnedar, by the way, is leaving her post (Who can blame her?). She has been a long-time associate of Holder, just as her replacement, Michael Horowitz, is a long-time friend of DOJ official Lanny Breuer, who is up to his neck in Fast and Furious.
