Breaking News! Nancy Pelosi Knows Something
Yes, indeed. At least that's what Spoker of the House Nancy Pelosi is saying; she knows something about Newt Gingrich that will ensure he can never be elected president. I guess she had to say something to liven up what otherwise was a pretty boring Tuesday night in Washington.
But I digress. In response to Nancy, Newt says to "spit it out". Hot Air has a report.

Apparently, it can't be related to that course Newt was teaching in college in Georgia. Amazing that they would go to such lengths to find out everything he said before his class. That stuff is going on all over academia every day.
Could it be that Newt cheated on his first two wives? We already know that, Nancy. Could it be that Newt was on the payroll of Freddie Mac? We know that too.
Could it have anything to do with that video Newt and Nancy made on that now-infamous couch? I mean after the cameras were turned off?
Now that could keep him from being elected. Imagine such a breakdown in judgement!
Truth is, we know the guy has flaws. He has more baggage than JFK Airport on a Saturday night. If it involves another sex scandal, we have already set the bar pretty low with Bill Clinton. No matter what it is that Nancy knows, we have set the bar pretty low with all of our politicians.
My biggest concern about Gingrich, who Rick Santorum correctly described as a man with a million ideas, is that he will turn the White House into the most chaotic place outside of LA County Hospital on a Friday night. Those who worked with him and under him when he was speaker of the House, said it was non-stop stress. The man is obviously brilliant. Maybe too brilliant.
At any rate, I am not too concerned that President Newt will bring us another Clinton moment in the White House. It's that Calista that worries me. What I fear is another Harding moment in the White House.
Maybe that is what Nancy knows.
The new Democratic majority in the House in 2013 really ought to pick a new Speaker. It shouldn't be Nancy again.
ReplyDeleteSiarlys, now I am shocked.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you shocked? Nancy Pelosi must have something on the ball, because she supplanted the previous party leadership with a strategy to regain a majority in the House a few years ago. But I've never been impressed with her grasp on policy or priorities, and it seems she was only briefly in tune with what voters are looking for.
ReplyDelete(Republican leaders haven't a clue what voters are looking for either -- if they understood how they got their current majority, they would be seeking to earn voters' future respect, rather than squandering their lead acting as if voters really wanted exactly what they were offering. Gov. Scott Walker is about to lose his job over a similar error).
