  1. WHOEVER the Republican Party runs will be Alfred E. Neuman. I just know there must be some good, intelligent, capable, competent, compassionate, insightful Republicans with reasonable priorities and administrative abilities out there... but none of them are running for office.

  2. Siarlys, I thought Huntsman actually seemed pretty reasonable, for a Republican. Of course he never stood a chance, though.

  3. Too bad it wasn't Ron (I love Code Pink) Paul. Maybe Next.

  4. Ron Paul actually in the White House would be a disaster, but he says many things that need to be said, and asks many questions that need to be asked. We really can't put the country back on the gold standard without triggering a massive and prolonged Depression, but there is a lot about the way paper money is manipulated that needs to be reigned in. (The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is an inadequate step toward doing exactly that).

By the way, I think Gary meant the Alfred in his doctored photo to stand in for Ron Paul, so Findalis and Gary may have a bone to pick with each other.

Anonymous, Huntsman has his good points, and his campaign will provide excellent material for the Obama campaign, but when he joined in the chorus of denunciation about the notion that mercury in the air and water is harming children, I gave up on him.
