News Item: Jimmy Carter Sends Condolences to North Korea

On the occasion of the death of the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-Il , Jimmy Carter (predictably) has sent his condolences to North Korea.

"Good news, mein Fuehrer. Jimmy Carter has sent his condolences."

Perhaps, Mr. Carter should send his condolences to the North Korean people, who have suffered under Kim Jong-Il's rule.

  1. There is no dictator that Jimmy Carter did not like.

  2. Its called diplomacy Gary. Carter is sometimes useful when an attempt at communication is being made. Salah ad Din used to send runners to bring ice from the mountains of Lebanon so Richard I could chill his wine, while having dinner after a day of trying to split each other's skulls open.

As they say, don't speak ill of the dead. Also, don't trust their successors.

  3. Squid, you seem to have forgotten Anastasio Somoza. Or is there some reason you don't consider him a dictator?
