Keith Olbermann's Latest Example of Hypocrisy
I had almost forgotten about Keith Olbermann since MSNBC finally showed him the door. Oh, he has always been around on some Al Gore-run network that I wouldn't even know how to find. However, a friend sent me Keith's recent rant about the "Worst persons in the world", which features Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who is under a Justice Department suit for catching illegal aliens and not putting up soda machines in Spanish in his jail-or something like that, Rep. Allen West (R-FL), and finally, the CEO of Lowe's for exercising his right to decide whom he sponsors and whom he doesn't.
Even though Lowe's got the first prize and Keith reminded everybody not to shop at Lowe's, I take particular offense at Olbermann stating that West "disgraced this country's uniform". (He fired a gun past a prisoner's ear to get him to talk about an impending attack against his troops.)
Excuse me, Mr. Olbermann. What uniform are you talking about? Surely not the uniform of the US Military because you never wore that uniform. The only uniform you have worn is your Brooks Brothers suit for your nightly shows (You have actually disgraced that yourself.)
Have you no shame, Sir? (to use your own words)
I would say it is pretty hypocritical for one like Olbermann, who has never served in the military, to judge one who has-and in combat no less. It may or may not be that West was wrong in his act. Not being a combat veteran, however, I am not going to judge him. In Olbermann's case, he is not even a veteran. Who is he to judge what West did?
I am sure that were Olbermann still easily accesible on MSNBC, he would be a contender for my up-coming (and eagerly anticipated) Jerk of the year award. As it is, he is consigned to the cow pasture also known as the Al Gore network that he richly deserves.
What was the name of that network?
I had sort of forgotten about Keith also. Just a windbag who even got under the skin of the those at MSNBC. At least he does not do football anymore. He had less of a clue about the game than he does about the ways of the world. If that is posible.
ReplyDeleteThis character is tucked away on some obscure network we would have to look very hard to find, and you are so disturbed, when he castigates people he doesn't like, that you want to highlight him? Talk about political OCD!
ReplyDeleteDidn't your kindergarten teacher ever tell you "just ignore him, he's looking for attention"??? Would you be pleased if someone you have so little confidence in, offered some kind words about your heroes?
