James Lafferty Busted on Wall Street
"OK, Lafferty. Into the paddy wagon."
Last night, I was joining some of my colleagues for lemonade and cookies at UC Irvine's Anteater Pub, when I caught a glimpse of a TV report where CNN's hapless Piers Morgan was interviewing James Lafferty about his arrest at the Wall Street protests a couple of days previous.

"Who in the Hell is James Lafferty?", you ask.
You don't wanna know-but I will tell you anyway.
James Lafferty is a 70-something life-long left-wing activist, who is the head of the National Lawyers Guild in Los Angeles.
And what in the Hell is the National Lawyers Guild, you ask. I'm glad you asked.
The National Lawyers Guild was formed in the late 1930s as a legal arm of the Communist party USA.
They apparently outlived most of the communists because they are still around. They jump into any cause designed to make the USA look bad-like the American Indian Movement, for example.
In addition, Lafferty has showed up at least twice to speak at the infamous Israel Apartheid weeks each May at UC-Irvine sponsored by the Muslim Student Union. At least, I have seen him speak there twice. He also tends to show up at those melees on Wilshire Blvd. when the pro-Palestinian clowns demonstrate against Israel.
Lafferty, of course, belongs there on Wall Street getting arrested. He apparently forgets that he is not 50 years younger than his actual age. Anyway, in conclusion, what the hell is Piers Morgan doing having this has-been, Gloria Swanson in Sunset Blvd. activist on his show?
Lemonade and cookies.
ReplyDeleteYeah, right.
