Quote of the Day From Tom Vilsack

Tom Vilsack (on right)

You can't make this stuff up, folks.

Here is Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack explaining how having more people on food stamps is good for the economy.

So here is my economic formula for recovery: We make sure everybody in the country qualifies for food stamps (by taxing them to death), make sure "the word gets out", then, when the whole country is on food stamps, the economy will be like going like gangbusters.

And it will be a boon to our railways too.

  1. Amtrak doesn't take food stamps, but as long as people aren't making enough to buy the food (its a prerequisite to qualifying, for all you UCSC community studies majors and UCI English students), it is good for the food industry that people's capacity to purchase food is up.

If Obama were really a socialist, they would all have jobs by now, but he's not, and Boehner isn't either.
