Fast and Furious: One Congressman States the Obvious-Holder Had to Have Known

Hat tip to Pajamas Media

In the below article by Patrick Richardson in Pajamas Media, Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) states that Eric Holder must have known about ATF's Operation Fast and Furious.

I also find it curious that if Fast and Furious actually originated within ATF, why did Justice Department officials resist any efforts by ATF to end it (as previously reported)?

"Uhhhhh.....yeaaaah."

Yeah!!

  1. NOBODY has yet made a mistake that this operation amounts to misfeasance or malfeasance. IF he knew, and he may have, I have no idea why Holder is shying away just because Fox News and Gary Fouse and some rabid congressmen seem to THINK this is a scandal.

Nervousness about the press is one of the weak points of the Obama administration. Look at the way some white house staffer demanded Shirley Sherrod's resignation, before Breitbart's house of cards collapsed when the "white farmer" and his wife went on TV to say she was their good friend who saved their farm -- and before anyone looked at the ENTIRE video tape of the speech that was raised as a red flag.

Holder should just boldly say, this was a legitimate operation with a legitimate purpose, there were some disagreements in the department about how long to wait, I was not involved in day to day administration, but certainly I was aware of the general plan, and what we are going to do now, taking into consideration the considered opinion of all the experienced agents concerned is...

...by the way, a number of people ARE facing indictment for gun running. Would the honorable member suggest that we should turn them loose???
