Below are two articles on the latest developments on Operation Fast and Furious, the scandalous operation by ATF to monitor the diversion of guns into Mexico-not intercept, mind you-monitor. Presently, the DOJ is trying to lay the blame on rogue elements of the ATF and save their own political officials from embarrassment.

This is not the Justice Department I worked for. Even under Janet Reno, I never saw anything like this. This is another reason why Obama must be defeated in 2012. This bunch that has been brought into the Justice Department has to be swept out. There is a major political scandal out there (wake up news media) -a scandal that has cost some 150 Mexican lives and the lives of two Border Patrol agents. It is unbelievable that Janet Napolitano and Alan Bersin (the boss of the Border Patrol) are not demanding a full investigation and asking why two of their agents are dead because of this insane venture.
Hi Gary,
ReplyDeleteYou mention: "wake up news media". This is interesting that today's OC Register has a little segment in the upper right hand corner of the first page, as part of an eight line intro to a larger AP story on page three. The little blurb on the first page, in part states: "Some of the heavy-duty assault weapons illegally purchased ended up in the hands of the Mexican cartels". Does the Register think that a documented 600 assault weapons is some?! Does the Register think that 1600 assault weapons that are unaccounted for, is some?! Although it only took a some of these assault weapons to kill our Border Patrol agents. Thanks media for your "yellow journalism!

Michelle Malkin has about as much expertise on law enforcement as I have to second-guess the operation of an atomic particle accelerator. All she has is a big mouth.
ReplyDeleteNow you Gary, at least have served in law enforcement. But you haven't said anything to make a better case than you made any of the last five times you've pounded the bully pulpit about "Fast and Furious." Although not an expert on law enforcement either, as a citizen who must decide who to vote for in the next presidential election, I continue to suspect that the media aren't seeing the issue you are, because it isn't there. It is wishful thinking on your part, a well as Breitbart, Fox News, and the usual suspects. You're not looking for truth. You're looking for some reason, any reason, to deny the president a second term. This isn't why he shouldn't be re-elected. Rather, the fact that you always wanted him not to be re-elected is to play this up as a scandal it is not.
