Ed Schultz- MSNBC's butter and egg man
Last night, Ed (Butter and Egg Man) Schultz pulled a despicable and unprofessional trick on his MSNBC show. He spliced a clip of Rick Perry speaking in Iowa and talking about "that big black cloud that hangs over America" (the debt crisis) and made it appear that Perry was referring to President Obama. His two guest commentaors went right along with him. I watched it last night myself.
Hot Air is playing the relevant clips via Breitbart TV and the Media Research Center, which shows what Schultz did. If you want to see a clear case of liberal media fraud, here it is.

Look, we know that MSNBC is in the tank for the Democrats. Nobody expects any balance or objectivity from MSNBC. The network's mad-hatter talk-show hosts immediately jumped on Perry as soon as he entered the race-just as they have been regularly attacking all the Republican candidates. Yet, here they actually edited a speech to make it appear that Perry was referring to Obama when he was clearly referring to "that debt". They tried to paint Perry as a racist.
And who were the other two guys going along with the fraud? One was a guy named Jim Moore, who wrote a hit piece on George W. Bush entitled, "Bush's Brain". The other was a liberal sociology professor from Georgetown, Michael Eric Dyson. Both should have known better to be parties to this shameful fraud.
Shameless Schultz, of course, is the same raving nut who was recently suspended by MSNBC after he went on air and called conservative commentator Laura Ingraham a "right-wing slut", so this standard of "journalism" is nothing new. The question now is what action MSNBC will take against Schultz, if any.
This isn't just slanted journalism; this is fraudulent journalism.
Tonight's update:
Tonight, Schultz "corrected the mistake" buried in the middle of a 15 minute diatribe against Perry. "That was our mistake", said Schultz. No apology for calling Perry a racist. No class.
And to wrap up tonight's show, he goes after Michele Bachmann for her blooper in Iowa confusing Elvis's birthday with his death date. Ed, Bachmann committed a blooper. You committed a manufactured lie.
Cute. Sounds like something Breitbart would do. Last Laff.
ReplyDeleteYour asking MSNBC to fire Schultz? This is the network that has hired Al Kill the Jews Sharpton.
ReplyDeleteIt's that purposeful lying that gets me. There was nothing accidental or exaggerated about it. It was a creation of a racial slur that wasn't there but they created so they can call the man a racist. It is just like they make up the "terrorist" label. The Left doesn't argue positions, they demonize the opposition.
ReplyDelete.

ReplyDeleteRight you are Miggie. That's EXACTLY what Breitbart has done. Glad you noticed.
(I'm not taking Gary's word for it that Schultz was quite so deceptive, but he may have been. I don't watch MSNBC much, and I bet Gary doesn't either. But for now, I'm treating this as a case of "what's good for the goose..."
