  1. Yeah, and Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon without even a trial. There were a couple of DJ's who did a song about it at the time:

    ...in the White House garden,
    Jerry promised him a full pardon."

    Things happen.

    Frankly, she may be guilty, but it does not seem that the prosecution did a very coherent job presenting it to the jury, and, perhaps taking a little more time with the investigation would have resulted in a more solid case.

    Perhaps the congruence has something to do with a party everyone believed to be guilty as sin getting a free walk, at least on the most serious charges.

  5. Actually, when a submarine surfaces in the tropics, a screendoor makes a lot of sense. You just have to make sure it is on the INSIDE of a watertight outer door when the sub dives.
