(Sort of)
Which is Spanish for balls-not pelotas either. I guess the Brits have absorbed a little culture from their sharing of Gibraltar with the Spaniards-or whatever they do there. Creeping Sharia has this blockbuster story on PM David Cameron's message to his society's jihadists, sharists, and other assorted malcontents.

Long overdue if you ask me. I fully recognize that many of Britain's Muslims are native-born, like the contemptible Anjem Choudary. Yet most of the jihadist and sharia-minded Muslims in the UK have roots in places like Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It would seem most reasonable to tell those folks that if they don't like quaint old British values like freedom, democracy, cricket, bad food, and ale, they can go live where their fathers and grandfathers came from.
Or is that too jingoistic?
That choice is not on the horizon Findalis.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, only a minority of Muslims are climbing on that bandwagon. Most of them are too busy earning a living, like all the rest of us.
Second, the chance that those who are will "get their way" outside their immediate neighborhood is about as likely as disproving the existence of zinc.
So, your hollow alarmist rhetoric is simply one more example of what I just said: comfortable suburban Jewish woman wants to feel victimized in vicarious sympathy with Israel while enjoying life in the United States.
(In Israel there is some real danger -- although one reason Israelis don't demand that their government negotiate while the going is good, is that they too are complacent. Maybe the IDF is doing too good a job.)
