Meanwhile in Toledo

While the world is going to Hell (at least for John Edwards and Anthony Weiner) President Obama dropped in to chat with diners in a Toledo cafe to tell them how great things are going in the auto jobs industry. He also took time out to eat a chili dog at Rudy's, apparently, the world greatest chili dog joint. He also took a tour of a Jeep factory.

  1. Didn't Obama get booed at the Jeep plant?

The economy is going to hell, gas is over $4 and climbing, his foreign policy is a joke, and he can't get the House to do what he wants. So I guess we will see more of him on the golf course and less in the Oval Office.

The tell me which of the factors mentioned are within the jurisdiction of the President of the United States,

    and,

what you would do about each if you were president.

I would say reducing our dependence on the Arab oil pools would be job #1, and the way to begin is to promote electric cars, solar power, maybe even clean coal technology... naaah, Republican couldn't take credit for that.

Mitt Romney already tried to say that the problem with the auto bailout is that Obama didn't do it the way he would have, and the reasons results have been rather good is that it was handled the way he recommended.
