I received an update from Hank Dannecker on his work in Israel for 1NewHeart, a program that brings Palestinian children with heart defects along with their families to Wolfson Hospital in Israel for free heart surgery.
"Greetings Friends and Family,
Just a quick update.
Today we met 8 Year old Hamza, his mother and father at Wolfson Medical center. It is a first for us to see both a father and mother with permission to enter Israel with their son. Tomorrow if all goes well Hamza will be operated on, sometime in the afternoon. Please keep this whole family in your prayers.
Also, we picked up a load of clothing (donated to us from passover cleaning) and other items and took them out to the Bedouins and distributed them among a rather large family. The mother was very thankful and allowed us to take a few pictures to share.
For all of this we give thanks!"

* Update:
Dear Friends and Family,
We wanted to update you on Hamza's status. He is still waiting for surgery and it looks like it is tentatively scheduled for this Thursday. The doctors throughout the country are currently on strike therefore public hospitals will be operating with only a skeleton staff. Consequently, this affects surgeries such as Hamza's. Please continue to pray for this family, as both Hamza and his parents are anxiously awaiting his surgery.
Thanking God for you!
