Protest Scheduled Sunday in Yorba Linda

Hat tip to Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism

Yorba
On Sunday evening, the Islamic Circle of North America is hosting a fund-raising banquet at the Yorba Linda Community Center (Orange County) California. Their featured speakers are two radical imams, Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali. There will be a planned protest at the event by people who object to these two radical voices who preach hate. The OCITF has a report, which I am cross-posting.

This demonstration will be peaceful and orderly, and is designed to protest hate. It will not be anti-Muslim in tone, rather anti-hate and to resist radical Islam. Make no mistake; the two scheduled speakers are not moderate Muslims. That the ICNA would invite these two speakers says volumes about their true intentions.

  1. I'm nowhere near Yorba Linda, but if I were in commuting distance, I might come with a big sign saying "America is Nobody's Theocracy."

  2. I was following one of the links on thread and came up with this paragraph that was buried in dozens of pages of sentiments like this. (Sometimes the document starts in Arabic and then the translation begins)

"- Understanding the role of the Muslim Brother in North America:
The process of settlement is a "Civilization-JihadistProcess" with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim's destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal."

It goes on and on like this. (Houston, we have a problem.)

  3. Miggie,

That was precisely the quote I confronted MB spokesman Ibrahim El Houdaiby with when he came to UCI. He called it a forgery.

  4. Gary, did he say then who composed those words?

You think the government or some other bad person forged the documents or others like, say, the Hamas Charter to make us feel unkindly to them?

I was listening to the Malik Ali address last week and he said the underwear bomber and the NY Times Square bomber were "made up" so the government ( or was it the corporations?) can take away our civil liberties.

So the Muslim Brotherhood and Malik Ali agree that "people" are making up this stuff for other purposes.

  5. Gary, see what kind of trouble you get me into? Somewhere in America, among the 300 million plus people who live here, some two-bit siren who is afraid to even give himself a consistent on-line identity is calling me names, all because I find some common ground with you now and then.

I do hate theocracy. I'll proudly plead guilty to that eight days a week. Popery, Jihad in the military-theocratic sense, Dominion theology, you give it a doctrinal identity, I'm against it.

P.S. Some of my best friends are Catholic / Muslim / evangelical Christian... I just don't want their religious canons defining government policy.
