Students for Justice in Palestine is holding their annual hate week at UCLA along with the Muslim Students Association. Donald Douglas of American Power is covering the event and has a great report, which I am cross-posting.

I will have more to say about the mad-hatters at UCLA in a future post.
At UCLA today a pro-Israel student and a pro-Palestinian white american student were having a conversation about the conflict when an arab member of SJP walked up to them to interrupt, said, "zionism is racism," and then stormed off while the pro-Israel student tried to calmly respond to him. SJP isn't interested in talking or dealing with reality, they're interested in demonizing Israel.
ReplyDeletePar for the course. Slogans like that are what passes for intellectual discourse on campus these days. Personally, I think it is a waste of time to try and have a reasonable discussion with these folks on Israel. It is time to take a stand and tell others what these clowns really represent and stand for. Scratch an Israel hater and what you will usually find is an America-hater and Jew hater.
ReplyDeleteSlogans never won a battle. People who can't even stand still long enough to hear a reply are never going to build a movement, just a mutual back-patting society. However, the pro-Israel students and the pro-Palestinian student had something to discuss. I hope they picked back up on their conversation.
