Anthony Weiner (" Weener") is Red Hot Over Tax Deal
No one ever accused New York Congressman Anthony Weiner ("I am not a whiner. I am a weener") of being a humble guy. Watch his arrogance in this interview with Fox's Megyn Kelly.
Rep. Weiner - who like most of us probably didn't get to choose his name - comes across as a very sensible and ethical man in this interview. The Fox anchor is also rational and asks pertinent questions. It was a good interview.
In the end, it probably isn't possible to get a much better deal. House and senate leadership had their chance to get something better through, and it failed.
Of course, the "nuclear option" has its attractions: do nothing, and let all the Bush tax cuts expire, then insist on vetoing any legislation out of the next congress that restores tax cuts for anyone with an income over $250,000.
Bit hard to take a guy seriously with the last name of "Weiner."
