Today, I checked all the web sites of the major news outlets in America for a summary of their coverage of the testimony of Christopher Coates before the US Civil Rights Commission and his allegations against Eric Holder's Justice Department toward civil rights enforcement. Fox is not included because they have led with the story. So here it is, the reporting today of ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN:

Glad to hear it. There is real news to report. If they reported on everyone with an ax to grind who shows up before a congressional committee, we'd never know what is going on in the world.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I wouldn't have devoted news time to Anita Hill's testimony during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings either.
But they did devote time to Anita Hill, didn't they? Prime time. They also made a big splash over Colbert's ridiculous appearance, but nothing about two career prosecutors who testify under oath that DOJ has a racially-biased policy when it comes to civil rights.
ReplyDeleteNo story, right?
No story, right. Career government officials testify every day before congressional committees. This was devoid of factual basis, a couple of guys with an ax to grind, trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere here you remarked about the lies and cover ups being worse than the substantive crime. True enough. DOJ has ordered Coates to ignore a subpoena from the Civil Rights Commission. It is time to put Holder, Perez, Perelli, King and Fernades under oath.
ReplyDeleteIt may be a third rate burglary to you, but what would you say if they start committing perjury?
Its not EVEN a third rate burglary. If it was, I'd be interested. It's nothing. That's why I question the hype you've poured into pumping up this silly nonsense.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I made my daily contribution by clicking on the ad for Scott Walker. That man is an overgrown spoiled brat, who was expelled from Marquette University for ethics violations.
When he loses, he should send you a nice letter for sending all the clicks his way. You can tell him it was all me.
Who is Scott Walker?
ReplyDelete(You are off-topic again.)
Gary, do you leave it all up to Google to place ads on your site, and never notice what is being advertised alongside your columns? Scott Walker is the Republican candidate for Governor of Wisconsin. His ads appear daily when I check your column, and I always click on them. They gives you a little revenue, and drains his coffers by an equal amount. I don't have your email, or maybe I'd send the note there.
