Having missed the decline and fall of the Roman Empire, it looks like we are all getting the consolation prize-the decline and fall of Western Civilization-what's left of it. How the Hell are we expected to win the war on terror and the war on drugs with dopes like this Lady Gaga representing our culture and giving us lectures about courage and justice?
A couple of years ago, I was commenting on some other blog, and some guy (apparently a Latino) made a comment about Mexicans trekking hundreds of miles to cross the US border into a country with a culture "as dry as dust". At the time, I suggested he examine his own racism. Were I to meet him today, I would buy him a beer. He was spot on.
I guess Lady Gaga is not part of the movement to boycott Arizona.
