L.A. Red Tape

I heard about this story driving home today on the John & Ken radio show (KFI640am). This story is a classic example of big government bureaucracy run amok-not surprising in Tony Villaraigosa's Los Angeles. Now we have the sign police fining store owners if their signs violate the regulations. Apparently, in LA, your store front can only advertise what you sell, not what services you offer.

So now Los Angeles has the sign police (Bureau of Code Enforcement). I wonder how much they are getting paid. More importantly, I wonder how much this guy Thomas Huerta gets paid for whatever he does.
