Hat tip to Hot Air
Last night, Democrats held their gala bash for Charlie Rangel to celebrate his 80th birthday (which was two months ago). In spite of the cloud over Rangel's head, a lot of Democrat big-wigs turned out to fete him. Both New York Senators were there. Al Sharpton got up and made a speech about a "crucifixion". Then there was the chief law enforcement officer of the State of New York and gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo. He was also there to be seen on the stage paying tribute to Rangel.
Cuomo, however, tried to hedge his bet. He sneaked out of the Plaza Hotel early through a back subway exit, but was still cornered by reporters who tried to ask him about the propriety of the state attorney general attending a bash for a politician under an ethical cloud.
And this is the guy who is promising to "clean up Albany"?
